Professional Experience

Brett serves as the Executive Director for CBRE Government & Defense Services and CBRE’s Managing Director for Mission Critical Services. Brett oversees identification and cultivation of strategic partnerships on behalf of MCS, leading cross-functional teams to develop and launch new service offerings and strengthen CBRE’s market position

Prior to this, Brett served as the Alliance Director for the General Services Administration Broker Contract, overseeing the delivery of requirements development, lease acquisition, and post award services. Brett oversaw 140+ active projects with over $200M in value. Brett’s team also provided project management services for the design and construction phases of lease projects after award. 

Prior to joining CBRE, Brett served GSA for 15 years, most recently as the Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Office of Strategy & Engagement for PBS, a position which included oversight of setting PBS-wide portfolio goals and objectives, leading efforts to plan for portfolio restructuring, asset repositioning, disposal, and lease alignment, as well as formulation of PBS budget, inclusive of operating accounts. His scope spanned $12B annually across 1,600 owned assets and 8,000 leases. Brett also served as the PBS Chief of Staff, the Acting Assistant Commissioner, Office of Project Delivery, overseeing design and construction programs nationally, Director, Office of Leasing, where he was responsible for the design, implementation, and management of programs focused on value and quality of delivery.
