Carl Hansen

Carl Hansen began his career in CBRE’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) business unit that specializes in fulfilling the real estate requirements of Fortune 1000 companies globally. As a part of a three person team, he was responsible for managing all manner of real estate transactions for several Corporate Services accounts throughout the United States as well as representing numerous clients on a one-off basis in the San Francisco metropolitan area. He prepared and negotiated written documents relating to individual transactions (proposals, leases, lease terminations, purchase & sale contracts, addenda and related legal documents). During his time with GCS, Mr. Hansen worked closely with several Fortune 1000 companies such as AT&T, IKON, Visa, Grainger and Network Associates (McAfee), and his team conducted over 2,700 transactions encompassing some 20 million square feet of real estate and with an aggregate acquisition and disposition value well over $3 billion. 

For the last four years, Mr. Hansen has specialized in representing occupiers of space (tenants) exclusively, with a focus on the representation of fast moving technology tenants in San Francisco and around the Bay Area. Some of the companies that he has recently represented include Meltwater, Deem, LiveWire, AppDynamics, Limelight Networks and Pinterest.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Hansen played professional football for three years. His career included two years with the NFL's New York Jets, and one year with the San Francisco Demons of the XFL. Mr. Hansen was also a member of the US National Rugby Team (Eagles) and is very active at the Olympic Club of San Francisco.
