Chad Bass

Chad Bass is the Deputy Chief Underwriter for the Business Lending unit of CBRE Capital Markets. He manages the daily underwriting, approval and closing processes for owner/user real estate financing for conventional lending products. Mr. Bass is based out of the Houston office.

Prior to joining the Business Lending unit as Senior Underwriter in November 2014, Mr. Bass was a Senior Portfolio Management Analyst for CBRE Loan Services where he began his commercial real estate career in 2005. During his nine-year career at CBRE Loan Services, Mr. Bass worked with various lenders including Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Aetna and CIGNA. His primary role was in portfolio surveillance and collateral review. Mr. Bass has expertise in underwriting owner/user real estate transactions as well as managing high performing underwriting teams. Additionally, he has expertise in training and managing remote teams located offshore as well as building process and technology improvements into the underwriting platform to drive accuracy and efficiency in the underwriting process. Mr. Bass has experience in the underwriting, closing, servicing, regulatory compliance, and structuring of commercial real estate debt.
