Christ Nebenzahl is Senior Director and Americas Head of Multifamily Research for CBRE Capital Markets. In this role, Chris leads research strategy for the Multifamily platform, developing market and investment outlooks across the full multifamily spectrum. He works closely with senior advisors and clients to translate housing, demographic and economic data into actionable insights for investors, developers and operators.
Chris brings more than a decade of institutional research experience to the role. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Rental Research at John Burns Research and Consulting, where he led client engagement and business development across the multifamily, single-family rental and build-to-rent verticals, advised the firm's CEO on multifamily expansion strategy, and oversaw a team of analysts covering the full rental market. Prior to that, he served as Director of Economic Research at Radix Inc., where he built and led market research efforts for a rapidly growing multifamily business intelligence platform, and as Director of Institutional Research at Yardi Matrix, where he managed a team producing national and metropolitan research across multifamily, office, self-storage and student housing.
Earlier in his career, Chris managed more than $2 billion in public-sector fixed-income portfolios at Insight Investment/Cutwater Asset Management, where he developed the cross-disciplinary approach to economic analysis that informs his real estate research practice.
Chris is active in the multifamily industry, regularly participating in leading conferences including NMHC, ULI, and IMN. He holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in Economics and Leadership Studies, from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business.
