Chris Shepherd

Chris Shepherd is a Vice Chairman—CBRE’s highest producer title—in Silicon Valley and helps lead CBRE’s global Technology Practice Group as a member of the Executive Committee. Since starting his career at CBRE in 2005, Chris has established himself as a market leader in the tech sector, advising companies ranging from venture-backed startups to publicly traded corporations. He has negotiated some of Silicon Valley’s most notable and complex transactions, and has executed real estate strategies for many of the world’s most preeminent technology firms. His impressive roster of global accounts includes Applied Materials, a confidential Fortune 100 Tech Firm, and Electronic Arts.

Chris has consistently excelled as a top performer in Silicon Valley, the Bay Area and nationally for CBRE. He has been recognized as a Bay Area Platinum Producer every year since 2012 and has ranked among the top 10 Silicon Valley producers since 2017. A ten-time recipient of ASVB brokerage awards, Chris has been named the #1 overall Silicon Valley broker each of the past three years. Since 2022, he has been the top producer in CBRE’s Silicon Valley office and a Top 5 producer in the Bay Area. In 2023, Chris was inducted into the Colbert Coldwell Circle, which recognizes the top 3% of professionals nationwide, and he has earned this distinction annually since—including a #7 global ranking in 2025. That same year, Chris completed 76 Office/R&D transactions totaling 3.4 million square feet and $1.1 billion in value.
