Clifford Maske

Clifford Maske is a seasoned expert in real estate valuation and risk management, with over 20 years of experience spanning commercial appraisal, quality assurance, and regulatory governance. As Director of Quality Risk Management at CBRE, he leads initiatives that promote consistency, compliance, and excellence in valuation practices, with a primary focus on supporting clients and staff appraisers throughout the Carolinas.

In his role, Mr. Maske collaborates closely with clients and valuation professionals to advance best practices, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement in report quality.

Mr. Maske began his career in commercial appraisal, gaining hands-on experience in valuation, feasibility analysis, and investment consulting for a wide range of property types. His background also includes brokerage leadership and operational strategy roles, contributing to his holistic understanding of real estate economics.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Maske held multiple leadership roles at Wells Fargo, where he spearheaded the development and refinement of quality assurance processes for commercial evaluations, appraisals, and reviews. His expertise includes regulatory compliance, appraisal methodology, vendor oversight, and strategic consultation for complex real estate assets.

Mr. Maske has served on several boards, including the North Carolina Appraisal Board and the Appraisal Institute’s NC Chapter, where he contributed to regulatory development and professional standards. His public service also includes strategic real estate planning for educational and faith-based institutions.
