Dan Scott leads CBRE New Zealand’s Marketing and Pitch functions, based in Auckland. With over 12 years at CBRE including eight years in New Zealand and prior experience in the United Kingdom. Dan brings global expertise in business development, strategic marketing, brand development, and property marketing across the commercial real estate sector.
As the driving force behind CBRE’s brand presence in New Zealand, Dan plays a pivotal role in shaping how the firm is perceived in the market. He leads national marketing strategy, creative direction, and brand storytelling, ensuring CBRE is recognised for its performance, insight, and leadership in commercial real estate. His work has elevated CBRE’s visibility and reputation, helping position the brand as the preferred partner for New Zealand’s leading property investors, occupiers, and developers.
Dan has advised and delivered marketing strategies for some of New Zealand’s largest real estate investors, leading repositioning projects, precinct launches, and portfolio campaigns across office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use assets. His strategic and creative approach consistently drives engagement, enhances asset value, and supports successful leasing and investment outcomes.
He collaborates across all CBRE service lines including leasing, investment sales, retail, valuation, capital advisory, and consultancy to craft compelling marketing strategies, pursuit plans and client engagement initiatives. Known for his collaborative leadership and creative thinking, Dan empowers teams to articulate value and differentiate CBRE in competitive markets.
Before joining CBRE, Dan held senior sales and marketing roles in New Zealand, including leading a division within the construction sector. There, he shaped divisional strategy, drove product innovation, and launched new retail operations, gaining hands-on experience in brand alignment and market growth.
Dan’s leadership has been instrumental in CBRE New Zealand’s growth. His strategic marketing, business development initiatives, and pitch leadership have directly contributed to numerous high-profile business wins, strengthening CBRE’s market position and client relationships. His impact has been recognised with multiple honours, including the CBRE Pacific Excellence in Operating & Growth Platform Award, CBRE New Zealand Professional of the Year (2023), and People Leader (2018) at the New Zealand Achievement Awards and Pacific Circle of Excellence Awards.
