David Braunschweiger

Based in New York, David is the Chief Financial Officer for a global financial services customer for CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). David is responsible for leading the finance, sourcing and business analytics vertical lines of business on the client account.  In this role, he leads a diverse team of professionals providing internal and client-facing services to the property and project management functions on a portfolio spanning more than 43 million square feet of retail, office and critical facility space.

Building a best-in-class business intelligence team from the ground up and strategically deploying advanced analytics across the functional teams played an integral part in the unprecedented success of the account in 2016.  David guided the finance team through the successful transition of key leadership roles and continues to lead initiatives aimed at integrating the finance, sourcing, and business analytics teams with facilities and project operations delivering on our goal of world-class outcomes for the client.

Prior to joining CBRE in February 2016, David was with McKinsey & Company for more than 16 years where he sharpened his skillset working across multiple business units on global firm-wide strategic programs.  Most recently he served as Manager of Global Procurement & Real Estate Analytics, building and leading a team in support of a multibillion-dollar corporate services group. In this role, David worked closely with leadership to define metrics and strategies for optimizing travel, meeting planning, real estate and procurement functions both financial and operational in nature.  David also led an on-going business unit financial planning initiative deploying investment resources to improve quality and performance, and track subsequent cost-performance results.
