David Browning has been actively involved in the commercial real estate industry for over 40 years. During his career, he has had involvement in all aspects of brokerage, property management, investments, development and receivership work. Mr. Browning has an extensive track record of assignments on behalf of corporate, institutional and government clients in markets throughout the country.
As Managing Director of CBRE, Inc. in Cleveland, Mr. Browning was responsible for overseeing and managing the Northeast Ohio offices, including about 50 sales professionals. His primary focus has included business development, community and industry relations and court-ordered receiverships. The service lines he has overseen include: Brokerage, Capital Markets, Asset Services, Project Management, Valuation and Advisory, Restructuring Services and Receiverships.
Mr. Browning joined CBRE, Inc. in 1978. He was a successful office building specialist in Chicago prior to becoming the market leader for the Cleveland CBRE office in 1987. During the past 33 years he has helped to create one of the largest and most diverse commercial real estate organizations in Northeast Ohio.
Mr. Browning is an industry leader. He was the 1996 President of the Cleveland Area Board of Experience Realtors and 1998 Chairman of the Commercial Council of the Ohio Association of Realtors. In 1999, he was the President of the Northern Ohio Chapter of NAIOP. He is a member of the Real Estate Advisory Group for the Downtown Cleveland Alliance and the Realtors Professional Standards Committee. Mr. Browning is active in the community. In 2005-2006, he became President of the Rotary Club of Cleveland, where he focuses on numerous civic projects. He was re-elected to a second term in 2010-2011 when the organization brought the Tall Ships Festival to Cleveland. In 2017, Mr. Browning became a board member of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
