David Knapp leads the Chicago Office Investment Sale Team for CBRE and brings over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Knapp and has handled the sale of some of the most iconic office buildings in Chicago and the broader Midwest including Willis Tower, One North Wacker, 71 South Wacker, and 1KFulton. Mr. Knapp has also been named investment sales advisor of the year multiple times by both NAIOP and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Based in Chicago, he has been involved in over $20 billion of office, retail, and note sales in the U.S. since 2003. Recently, Mr. Knapp has closed some of the largest post-COVID office transactions in the Midwest including 70 West Madison (1.4M RSF), 225 West Wacker (650K RSF) and 200 West Jackson (487K RSF)  in Chicago, Illinois, Wells Fargo Center (1.2M RSF) and Normandale Lake Office Park (1.7M RSF) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and 200 Public Square (1.3m RSF) in Cleveland, Ohio. Representative clients include Bank of America, Barclays, Beacon Capital Partners, CBREIM, CIBC, Equity Commonweath, Hines, JPMorgan, MetLife, Pritzker Realty Group, Shorenstein, Sterling Bay, Tishman Speyer, and Wells Fargo.

Prior work experience included 14 years at Eastdil Secured in Chicago where Mr. Knapp was a Partner and Managing Director. Mr. Knapp also had prior experience at C&W, CBRE, and Principal Real Estate Investors. Mr. Knapp received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
