David Whitmore

David Whitmore has worked as a Senior Field Research Analyst for CBRE’s San Diego office since September 2021, focusing primarily on economic, venture capital, and multifamily reporting, while producing quarterly thought pieces covering all commercial asset types and assisting in the team’s data collection and quality control efforts.

Prior to beginning his career at CBRE, Mr. Whitmore was the Manager, Market Research at BioMed Realty, where he established the company’s market research function, a position that was bookended by two separate stints at CoStar Group. Mr. Whitmore began his professional career in CoStar’s research department, before moving to the company’s market analytics group. As a Market Analyst for 15 metropolitan areas, Mr. Whitmore wrote one to two news stories per week, produced and starred in video content for CoStar and Apartments.com, and served as a featured speaker for events hosted by the California Apartment Association (CAA), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and RENTV.

Mr. Whitmore holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, San Marcos and a Certificate in Business Intelligence Analysis from the University of California, San Diego.
