Devin Tessmer

Devin Tessmer is a First Vice President within the Retail Properties Group at CBRE. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Devin has an imbedded knowledge of the market. At an early age, while working for the family business, he was attracted to the real estate industry. While pursuing a finance degree from UW-Whitewater, he interned with a local development firm. After graduating he worked in property management and transitioned into brokerage in 2012 for another Milwaukee-based commercial real estate firm where he focused on retail.

Devin joined CBRE’s Milwaukee retail team in 2016 and brings more than 12 years of experience in retail, providing in depth insights into the market for his clients.

He is responsible for local, regional, and national tenant and landlord representation of retail properties within Wisconsin. He also represents both buyers and sellers of retail assets and experienced in development work, build-to-suit, ground lease, and single and multi-tenant investment sales. Additionally, Devin assists his clients with site selection, market tours and lease negotiations throughout the Midwest. Devin is also an integral part of the retail team’s new business development.

Devin works with his clients to identify their goals and negotiate the most favorable terms for that specific transaction. He is well versed in negotiating many facets of a transaction and supported by his experience representing both sides of a transaction.
