Doug Henkel

Doug Henkel is currently an Executive Vice President at CBRE Hotels, joining the firm in 2000 following his company’s adopting the CBRE platform as a partner office. In 2019 he became a direct employee of CBRE Hotels. He has over 45 years of experience in the hotel sector. As a member of the Hotel Group, Mr. Henkel is based in the firm’s Norfolk, Virginia office and works on national hotel advisory and disposition projects, specializing in single asset and small portfolio transactions. He has completed transactions multiple times on the same hotel asset. Since 2005, Doug has participated in the disposition of over 158 hotels nationally and internationally, valued at more than $4.3 billion and averaging over $253 million per year.

Mr. Henkel utilizes his hotel sales experience and financial analysis expertise to best serve the company and his clients. He is intimately involved in every aspect of the transaction process including hotel valuation, development of disposition strategy, oversight of the marketing process, solicitation, and negotiation of offers as well as coordination of the due diligence process and settlement. Mr. Henkel ensures that the company's services are tailored to serve each client's specific commercial real estate needs throughout the US.
