Beth Thomas

Beth Thomas, MAI, MRICS, is Managing Director of the Valuation & Advisory Service Group’s Washington, DC regional office. She has over 22 years of real estate valuation, review and consulting experience specializing in the Mid-Atlantic region including Washington, DC, Baltimore, Richmond, Hampton Roads and West Virginia.

Ms. Thomas is a Designated Member (MAI) of the Appraisal Institute and a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Ms. Thomas is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the State of West Virginia, the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia

Ms. Thomas has expertise in the appraisal of a diverse range of property types. Her assignments include urban and suburban office buildings, medical office buildings, government office buildings, industrial buildings, self-storage, auto dealerships, multifamily residential, subdivisions, retail properties, mixed-use developments, ground leases, redevelopments and new construction projects. Assignments have included portfolio valuation, highest and best use analysis, feasibility studies, cash flow sensitivity analysis, appraisal report review, tax appeal and litigation support.

Ms. Thomas is a member of CBRE’s International Valuation Team, the Industrial Valuation Group, the Multifamily Valuation Group and the Office Valuation Group. She is also a reviewer on the Appraisal Institute’s Demonstration Report Grading Panel.

Clients represent a diverse mix of US and international groups, including banks, developers, pension funds, REITS, owner-users, partnerships, special servicers and law firms.
