Emma joined CBRE Japan in 2020. She partners strategically with foreign investors, leveraging her bilingual skills in English and Japanese to bridge cultural and business gaps. Her close collaboration with our local team of experts, combined with her proven track record since joining, has been pivotal in uncovering and fostering lucrative new business opportunities with CBRE's global clients, maximizing their investment potential.
Post-pandemic, Emma has been instrumental in guiding new equity players, such as family offices and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI), as they strategically expand their real estate presence in Japan.
Emma started her career in Japan in the financial industry after completing her MBA from Waseda University in 2003. Prior to joining CBRE, Emma held various positions at foreign securities firms such as CLSA, UBS, and Jefferies Securities, where she specialized in Japanese equity sales and headed the corporate access team in Japan. Emma has lived in Japan for more than 20 years and was born in Guatemala, raised in the US and is a native Spanish speaker.
