Hampden (Ham) Berry is a Senior DSF Analyst within CBRE Debt & Structured Finance team in Dallas. Ham joined the team in June of 2019 as a Production Analyst, assisting both the conventional multifamily and student housing debt teams.
Prior to this, Ham was an intern with the Bryant Wagley DSF in the summer of 2018 before being hired full time upon his graduation the following year. During college, Ham has also worked as an analyst for the Dallas-based real estate investment firm, Fountain Capital, LLC. During his time at Fountain, Ham helped identify acquisitions, conduct investment, and market analyses, and manage the firm’s existing assets in the southwest region.
In 2023, Ham was elevated to Senior DSF analyst within the Bryant Wagley DSF team and now helps oversee the underwriting and closing of the team’s transactions. Ham and his team primarily serve institutional clients, including some of the country’s top pension and private equity fund investors. Ham also assists in managing the team’s relationships with a variety of capital sources – including banks, government-sponsored entities, life companies, debt funds, and specialty lenders. Ham is active in every stage of the debt underwriting process, mainly focusing on institutional multifamily properties across the US.
Ham received his BBA in finance with University Honors from the University of Texas at Austin’s Red McCombs School of Business, concentrating in real estate. Ham is a Dallas native and grew up in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of North Dallas.
