CBRE announces that Spiers New Technologies, a full-service provider for advanced battery packs, has purchased a 157,000 square foot facility in Oklahoma City. The building is located at 1500 SE 89th St and is easily accessible from I-35 and I-240. Spiers, based out of Oklahoma, currently occupies four different buildings across Oklahoma City and will consolidate their operations to the new facility. The building sits on 18 acres of land, giving them the opportunity to build out over 200,000 square feet of additional office and manufacturing space. “We are thrilled with the location we were able to find for Spiers” said Jason Hammock, Vice President, CBRE.

In September of 2017, Kratos Aerospace alongside the team of John Lenochan, Jason Hammock, and Caitlin Mazaheri of CBRE, Inc. began a search in Oklahoma City to accommodate future production requirements. Kratos Aerospace is the recognized industry leader in high-performance, low-cost jet aerial target systems (drones) that support the US Military and foreign ally military. The goal of this facility was to provide a location to supplement their ongoing production in California and enables them to meet their expected increasing production quantity of the Firejet (MQM-179) unmanned aerial system. The requirement evolved over time and eventually in late 2018, Kratos decided on leasing 100,000 square feet at Will Rogers Business Park in Oklahoma City.

In early 2018, GE engaged CBRE to list the property at 2101 SE 18th Street in Oklahoma City. This subject site was formerly used as a state-of-the-art Oil Service manufacturing facility that boasts a fully climate-controlled environment, an extensive network of cranes serving the property, X-Ray booths, and other amenities. Shortly after the property was listed, Danny Rivera of Price Edwards inquired on behalf of his client, Downing Wellhead. Downing Wellhead had been looking for approximately six months and was about to purchase an 85,000 SF distribution facility and convert it to an Oil Service manufacturing facility. Downing’s goal was to consolidate operations across Oklahoma City into one functional facility.
