Jiwon is an ESG professional with extensive experience in corporate ESG strategy, reporting, and green building certification advisory for real estate. She began her career at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in Washington, DC, where she crafted LEED value propositions for global clients and provided strategic market intelligence to USGBC’s executive leadership. Drawing on her engineering expertise, Jiwon has since led sustainability consulting initiatives in Asia, collaborating with developers, architects, engineers, and facility managers to deliver innovative solutions across diverse real asset types.
Before joining CBRE, she served as an ESG and sustainability advisor at real estate consultancy and ESG consulting firms. She developed ESG strategies, green building certifications, and reporting for Hong Kong and APAC real estate clients, creating tailored ESG roadmaps for asset managers aligned with global disclosure trends. She conducted pre-investment ESG due diligence and climate risk assessments, led business development, and spearheaded research in ESG-integrated valuation to advance industry practices.
Jiwon currently serves on ULI Hong Kong’s Decarbonization & Resilience Committee, where she provides insights into commercially driven ESG strategies for Hong Kong’s real estate sector, engaging a broad audience.
