Jody House is a trusted retail real estate advisor known for her expertise in leasing, merchandising, and positioning retail projects across the Country. She brings a proven record of elevating asset value through strategic tenant curation, creative dealmaking, and collaborative client partnerships. She started out in retail and accelerated with expanding retailers across the country and worked for Signet Jewelers in her past leading their real estate dept.
While at CBRE, Jody has led leasing and merchandising efforts for some of Kansas City’s most notable destinations, including Crown Center, Bluhawk, Paragon Star, Nottingham Center, and Montage. She also manages occupier transactions for Uncle Julios, Bar Louie, BMO Harris, and BrightSpring Health Services, combining deep market knowledge with precision execution.
Prior to joining CBRE, Jody held senior leasing and development leadership roles with Steiner + Associates, Highwoods Properties, CBL & Associates, and Butler Enterprises. She has guided leasing strategies through multiple market cycles, consistently achieving strong results while mentoring emerging industry professionals.
Achievements
Throughout her career, Jody has been instrumental in the leasing and merchandising of high-profile retail environments. While at Steiner & Associates, she was a key contributor to the development of Easton Town Center in Columbus, recognized as one of the nation's top-performing retail centers. She has also played a leading role in shaping major Kansas City properties such as Country Club Plaza, Oak Park Mall, and Zona Rosa. Jody excels at introducing fresh retail and restaurant brands to local markets, most recently adding the new Barnes & Noble concept and J. Crew to Bluhawk in Johnson County, KS.
