John DeCree is the Head of Institutional Investor Research at CBRE Capital Advisors and the senior equity analyst covering the Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure sectors. With 20 years of experience in equity research and investment banking, he is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s institutional equity research efforts, including company and industry forecasts, investment recommendations, corporate access, and institutional relationship management.
Prior to joining CBRE, John served as the Global Head of Institutional Research at Union Gaming, the leading boutique investment bank and advisory firm focused exclusively on the global gaming industry. He also served as an equity research analyst at Telsey Advisory Group covering the Gaming, Lodging, & Leisure sectors and as a leveraged finance associate at GMS Group. John earned his B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University.
John is a frequent expert contributor on CNBC and Bloomberg, and his work is often cited in various print publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Widely recognized as a leader in his field, he is consistently ranked amongst the highest of his peers by annual industry sources and surveys, including TipRanks’ Top 5% of all Wall Street Analysts and Thomson Reuters’ Top Stock Picker in the Casino & Hotel sector.
