John and his partners in the downtown Chicago office of CBRE have long-standing relationships with life insurance correspondents, debt funds, domestic and international banks, and securitized lenders. They are also a direct originator of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans. CBRE is the #1 non-bank originator of multifamily debt in the country. John’s extensive relationships with capital allow him to create the optimal structure for each deal, providing flexibility while maximizing investment returns for his clients.
Since joining CBRE in 2006, John has been directly involved in the origination, underwriting, structuring, and closing of over 200 transactions totaling more than $6.2 billion. Prior to joining CBRE, John worked at Prudential Mortgage Capital where he originated and underwrote first mortgage and mezzanine debt for their balance sheet, bridge, securitized, and GSE lending programs.
