John Shannon is a Vice President with CBRE’s Occupier Leasing Services team. He joined CBRE on December 1, 2025, after spending more than six years with Cushman & Wakefield advising companies in suburban Chicago and across their national real estate portfolios.
John serves as the team’s suburban Chicago office market specialist, leading strategy and execution for clients evaluating renewals, relocations, and long-term occupancy planning throughout the suburbs. He works closely with executive leadership to align real estate decisions with business objectives, cost structure, and operational needs.
In addition to his suburban focus, John supports clients with office strategy across multi-market national portfolios, ensuring consistency in approach, financial analysis, and negotiation execution.
He is backed by a senior team with more than 60 years of combined experience, providing clients with deep market knowledge and disciplined transaction expertise.
