Jon W. Smith serves as the Director of Transaction Management for UPS in North America, where he leads strategic portfolio planning and oversees comprehensive transactional execution across a diverse real estate portfolio. This includes industrial, distribution, office, and support facilities that underpin one of the largest logistics networks in the United States.
Since joining CBRE in 2019, Jon has successfully directed corporate real estate transactions throughout North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. His experience spans multiple sectors—including oil & gas, aerospace manufacturing, public accounting, banking, and logistics—with notable ongoing engagements such as Baker Hughes in the Oil & Gas sector. He is recognized for delivering customized solutions through rigorous financial analysis, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and a client-focused approach to transaction strategy.
Prior to his tenure at CBRE, Jon operated in the Southern Louisiana market, specializing in the disposition of net-leased investment properties across various asset classes. He began his career in commercial real estate in 2010, following a 15-year sojourn in the fine wine industry (which was supposed to be 6 months). During that time, he led Southeastern U.S. operations for a publicly traded global wine corporation headquartered in Napa Valley and founded and operated a successful chain of retail fine wine stores in Louisiana.
