Jonathan is a seasoned real estate and finance professional with a distinguished background in both military service and investment strategy. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he earned an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School with a concentration in finance and a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate from Cornell’s Baker Program, where he focused on real estate finance and investment analysis.
Jonathan served nine years as an Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, before transitioning to real estate. He began his career at Urban American Management in New York, where he specialized in multifamily acquisitions and applied advanced financial modeling to evaluate and structure deals. Later, as a founding member of Black Star Real Estate—a vertically integrated investment platform—Jonathan led the acquisition, management, and redevelopment of urban infill multifamily properties in El Paso, Texas, leveraging his expertise in debt structuring, capital stack optimization, and strategic financing solutions to maximize returns and project feasibility.
