Jordan Kaplan is a Vice President in the New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Group at CBRE in partnership with Executive Vice President Eric Gelber since March of 2017. Jordan specializes in both owner and occupier representation for some of the most prominent names in the field. Jordan is responsible for business development, strategic planning, marketing and all phases of the brokerage process.
Jordan brings highly creative strategies, a broad industry network, and a well-rounded understanding of the retail real estate landscape. As a testament to his hard work, CBRE senior leadership recognized Jordan with the Ascending Young Professional Award in 2018.
Jordan has been involved in many large, complex, and notable transactions early in his career. Avra Estiatorio at 1271 Avenue of the Americas on behalf of Rockefeller Group was the recipient of the 2020 REBNY “Ingenious Retail Deal of the Year” award. The monumental transaction displayed an unwavering commitment, belief and investment in Midtown Manhattan during the darkest days of the COVID pandemic. Today, the restaurant is widely regarded as one of the most successful and highest grossing restaurants in the country.
Other significant transactions include Quality Bistro at 1345 Avenue of the Americas, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse renewal at 1221 Avenue of the Americas, Kent Hospitality Group at 9 West 57th Street, Brooks Brothers at Rockefeller Center and 195 Broadway, and Starbucks at 1585 Broadway. Jordan is also the exclusive broker for Municipal Credit Union (MCU) in all five New York City Boroughs and has been instrumental in companies’ unprecedented growth the last few years.
Prior to joining CBRE in the spring of 2017, Jordan was an Associate at Cushman & Wakefield. It was at C&W where Jordan developed a deep understanding of NYC’s Outer Borough landscape working on both the Chipotle Mexican Grill and Starbucks accounts. Before C&W, he began his career with Midtown-based Winick Realty Group following his graduation from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2013.
Today, Jordan lives in Syosset, Long Island with his wife Cortney and two young children Marli and Drew. Jordan is a die- hard sports fan supporting the University of Colorado Buffaloes, New York Rangers, and New York Mets. When he’s not at work, he is seeking out the hardest reservations, trying all the new restaurants, or being an amateur chef at home.
