Jordan Kaplan is a First Vice President within the Retail Services Group at CBRE's New York Tri-State Region, where he works in partnership with Executive Vice President Eric Gelber. Since joining CBRE in 2017, Jordan has built a distinguished practice specializing in both owner and occupier representation, advising some of the most prominent names in retail real estate. His responsibilities span the full spectrum of the brokerage process, including business development, strategic planning, marketing, and transaction execution.
Jordan is recognized for bringing highly creative strategies, a broad industry network, and a comprehensive understanding of the retail real estate landscape to every assignment. His contributions to the industry were acknowledged early when CBRE senior leadership honored him with the Ascending Young Professional Award in 2018.
Among his most notable achievements, Jordan represented Rockefeller Group in the leasing of Avra Estiatorio at 1271 Avenue of the Americas—a transaction that earned the 2020 REBNY "Ingenious Retail Deal of the Year" award. Completed during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, the deal stood as a bold statement of confidence in Midtown Manhattan, and today Avra is widely regarded as one of the most successful restaurants in the country.
Building on that success, Jordan went on to represent Rockefeller Group in the leasing of Cuerno, a contemporary Mexican steakhouse, and most recently represented L'Artusi in its highly anticipated Midtown expansion—both at 1271 Avenue of the Americas. Having been instrumental in all three transactions, representing both landlord and tenant, Jordan has played a defining role in establishing 1271 Avenue of the Americas as one of Midtown Manhattan's premier dining destinations.
Additional significant transactions include Quality Bistro at 1345 Avenue of the Americas, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse at 1221 Avenue of the Americas, Brooks Brothers’s Global Flagship at 195 Broadway and at Rockefeller Center, and Starbucks Times Square Flagship at 1585 Broadway. Jordan also serves as exclusive broker for Municipal Credit Union (MCU) across all five New York City boroughs, playing an instrumental role in the organization's continued expansion.
Prior to joining CBRE, Jordan gained foundational experience at Cushman & Wakefield and Winick Realty Group, where he developed a strong command of the New York City retail market across multiple submarkets and asset types.
