Joshua Seaman

Josh serves as the Regional Lead, US South Region for CBRE’s Global Occupancy Management (OM) team. In this role, Josh supports client accounts by building and improving operational Occupancy Management programs. Josh’s specialty is in data and information analytics. Data is a fundamental pillar of success in the Occupancy Planning process; therefore, he focuses on developing the means to transform data/information sources into action plans to achieve client real estate portfolio goals.

Josh was also instrumental in the formation of the Occupancy Management variable business, diagnosing solutions and delivering consulting engagements for existing and new OM clients.

Prior to his role on the OM platform, Josh had a pivotal role on the Microsoft OM team as an Occupancy Strategist. Josh led the development of enhanced occupancy/workplace analytics and planning methods. His notable achievements include: The Neighborhood Planning Tool that changed the planning paradigm in open workspaces, the Adjacency Study that developed new methods to measure utilization rates of high-dollar spaces, as well as partnering with one of Microsoft’s product teams to create a data-driven toolset that reports inter-team collaboration.

Josh joined CBRE as a Senior Occupancy Planner supporting the delivery of an annual allocation plan to manage occupancy of over 14MSF. Some of his notable accomplishments include: leading the planning of a 14K person campus reshuffle (a record-setting size), and the creation of a planning tool to speed and improve the quality of allocation plans--now broadly used by the occupancy planning teams.

Josh has proudly served in the US Armed Forces as an Officer in the Army.
