Kevin Best joined CBRE in 2002 after spending thirteen years in the corporate real estate departments at Nabisco, Inc., RJR Nabisco, Inc., and Scientific-Atlanta, Inc. By drawing upon his extensive in-house corporate real estate experience and strong background in finance, Mr. Best is able to assist clients with a full range of real estate needs and issues.
Mr. Best has a broad and deep background in all aspects of corporate real estate, including negotiating and documenting transactions, strategic planning, financial analysis, corporate policies and procedures, office and space standards, account management, and lease administration systems. He has negotiated more than 1,000 real estate transactions for in excess of 12 million square feet of space in twenty countries, and has generated more than $200 million of economic benefit for his clients in the form of disposition proceeds and negotiated rent reductions.
Mr. Best has bought, sold, leased and subleased land, office, call center, warehouse, industrial and retail properties. His notable transactions include: a 304 acre corporate campus land purchase (USA); a 582,000 SF build-to-suit corporate headquarters development (USA); a 29 acre industrial land purchase (Mexico); a 249,000 SF manufacturing facility lease (USA); a 400,000 SF warehouse lease (USA); a 219 acre land sale (USA); a European headquarters office lease (Germany); the RJR Nabisco world headquarters office lease (USA); numerous build-to-suit warehouse leases (USA); and a 325,000 SF build-to-suit manufacturing plant (Mexico).
