Kevin McLennan is a Vice Chairman at CBRE and a senior advisor to large publicly traded companies, private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and portfolio company management teams on complex real estate and capital structure decisions across all major asset classes.
Kevin specializes in advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies through the full investment lifecycle — including acquisition underwriting, sale-leasebacks, portfolio carve-outs, recapitalizations, lease restructurings, and exit planning — with a focus on aligning real estate strategy with broader investment, credit, and return objectives. His work frequently supports leveraged buyouts, minority investments, ESOPs, sponsor-to-sponsor transactions, and public-to-private conversions.
Over his career, Kevin has led more than $15 billion in aggregate transactions, including over $12 billion of lease and structured occupancy transactions and in excess of $3 billion of capital markets activity, spanning healthcare, industrial, logistics, office, life sciences, retail, specialty manufacturing, and mission-critical real estate.
Kevin is recognized for his ability to operate at the intersection of real estate, corporate finance, and private equity underwriting, frequently partnering with investment committees, CFOs, and lenders to assess real estate risk, cash flow durability, residual value, and downside protection.
