K.O. Kennedy

K.O. Kennedy is a Vice Chairman within CBRE’s Capital Markets Debt and Structured Finance Group and has been manager of the CBRE Nashville Debt and Structured Finance Group since he opened the office in 2006. Mr. Kennedy, who focuses primarily on permanent and structured finance, has transacted over $20 billion during his 28-year mortgage-banking career.

Mr. Kennedy’s annual debt and structured finance production is approximately $2 billion. He has been named a “Top 10% Producer” within CBRE during 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024. In 2021, he was a top 3% producer and made it into the Colbert Coldwell Circle.

Multifamily Specialist

CBRE is a direct lender of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA, and is the largest non-bank originator of multifamily mortgages in the country by a great measure. CBRE is Freddie Mac’s largest lender, by a significant multiple, for the past six years, and a top three Fannie Mae DUS lender for the same period.

As a multifamily specialist, Mr. Kennedy has intimate knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and uniquely understands each product’s specific features, allowing him to match transactions and debt accordingly. His relationships with the decision makers at the GSE’s allow him to bring a level of expertise and surety of execution to transactions that is difficult to duplicate. CBRE’s Nashville DSF Team consistently produces over $2 billion annually in multifamily transactions.
