Kyle Kovac is Co-Head of CBRE Capital Markets in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over his career, he has completed more than $15 billion in transaction volume across investment sales, corporate user transactions, development sales, and equity raises. In addition to advising a broad range of institutional and private clients, Kyle is responsible for the strategic growth of the region’s capital markets platform. He is a member of CBRE’s National Office Partners and Global Capital teams.
Since beginning his career in 2006, Mr. Kovac has led many of San Francisco’s most high-profile office transactions. He and his business partner, Michael Taquino, were named “Brokers of the Year” by the San Francisco Business Times in 2018. In 2021, PG&E retained Mr. Kovac’s team to sell its 1.9 million-square-foot San Francisco office campus, which traded for $800 million—one of the largest property sales in the city’s history.
Mr. Kovac is a recognized industry voice, with speaking engagements and contributions to organizations and publications including The Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Business Times, Bloomberg, and the University of California. He is the featured real estate contributor to the City and County of San Francisco’s annual Economic Forecast and serves on the UC Berkeley Fisher Center Advisory Board for Real Estate and Urban Economics.
Mr. Kovac is actively involved in several charitable organizations, including the Northern California chapter of Blood Cancer United. He lives in San Francisco with his wife, Shannon, and their three daughters.
