Lara Sessler is a Vice President at CBRE, working with the Occupier Restructuring and Disposition Services Group. As a trusted advisor to her clients, Ms. Sessler provides valuable assessments and analyses designed to achieve portfolio optimization and provide advisory services for mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Sessler specializes in helping clients in the disposition of excess real estate and mitigation of lease obligations. Over the course of her real estate career, Lara has successfully negotiated and saved her clients in surplus of $100M of occupancy cost savings, realized from lease restructuring and early lease terminations for national retailers and non-retail companies with substantial real estate holdings.
Prior to joining CBRE, Lara was with DJM Real Estate, a Gordon Brothers Group company for more than eleven years. During her tenure there, Lara specialized in negotiation of settlements with landlords both in and out of bankruptcy. Her distinguished client list includes Advance Auto Parts, Circuit City, Claire’s, CVS, DXL, Real Mex, Rite Aid, Toys R Us and Walgreens.
Lara is licensed to practice law in NY and CT; a licensed real estate broker in NY and CT; and is a 2015 Recipient of the 6th Annual 40 Under 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards in the Service Professional Category.
