Lewis Miller, is a Vice Chairman of CBRE and has been with the company for 32 years. As a member of the firm’s Strategic Planning Group and the Consulting Group's Operating Committee, Lewis dedicates significant time and resources to shaping the company's long-term strategic direction.
With a strong financial background that encompasses investment banking and accounting expertise, and a deep understanding of the economic and financial statement implications of complex real estate transactions, Mr. Miller has creatively structured numerous transactions to accomplish a variety of goals on behalf of his clients. His ability to understand the implications of a transaction for all parties enables him to develop effective negotiating strategies on behalf of his clients.
Over the past ten years, Mr. Miller has been responsible for arranging leasing transactions totaling in excess of 20 million sq. ft., with his primary focus on financial services firms and law firms.
Lewis’ recent transactional work has includes representing Credit Suisse in its 1.1 million RSF transaction at Eleven Madison Avenue, Davis Polk in its 650,000 RSF renewal at 450 Lexington Avenue, Simpson Thacher in its 600,000 RSF transaction at 425 Lexington Avenue, Cravath Swaine & Moore in its 406,000 RSF anchor tenant transaction at the to-be-built 2 Manhattan West, Estee Lauder in its 500,000 RSF of renewals at 767 Fifth Avenue and 110 E. 59th Street, Weil Gotshal in its 400,000 RSF transaction at 767 Fifth Avenue, Shearman & Sterling in its 338,000 RSF renewal at 599 Lexington Avenue, Schulte Roth & Zabel in its 280,000 RSF renewal at 919 Third Avenue, Dentons in its 225,000 RSF renewal at 1221 Avenue of the Americas, Akin Gump in its 214,000 RSF renewal at 1 Bryant Park, Paul Hastings in its 180,000 RSF relocation to 200 Park Avenue, Pryor Cashman in its 125,000 RSF lease at Times Square Tower, Troutman Sanders in its 90,000 RSF relocation to 875 Third Avenue, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in its 90,000 RSF renewal at 1290 Avenue of the Americas, KPMG in its 80,000 RSF expansion at 560 Lexington Davis & Gilbert in its 85,000 RSF relocation to 1675 Broadway and Vinson & Elkins in its relocation to 1114 Avenue of the Americas. Lewis’s ongoing work on behalf of Credit Suisse included completing numerous transactions on their behalf, including in Raleigh, Bogota, Calgary, Menlo, Los Angeles, Chicago, Conshohocken, Northbrook and others (see separate full list in this response to proposal). Lewis also continued his national representation of Goldman Sachs, completing 10 transactions on their behalf over the past 3 years, including a 200,000 RSF relocation in Dallas, a 50,000 RSF transaction in Los Angeles and transactions in Boca Raton, Palo Alto and Wilmington. In addition, Lewis continued his national representation of Akin Gump, including completing a 163,000 RSF relocation in Washington DC, a 70,000 RSF relocation in Dallas and transactions in London, San Antonio and Houston.
Prior to joining CBRE, Lewis was a vice president at Lehman Brothers in the firm's real estate investment banking group. Before joining Lehman Brothers, he worked at Ernst & Young as a Certified Public Accountant.
