Marcus Cornelius specializes in industrial and logistic commercial real estate in the Greenville-Spartanburg market. Over the past 25 years, he has delivered client-centric solutions to owners and occupiers of industrial properties. He leverages his experience in working complex deals in a team settings and maximizes available resources to successfully execute “wins” on behalf of his clients. His successful track record is attributed to his ability to concentrate the goals of his team to align directly to the strategic plans of each individual client.
Marcus joined CBRE’s Industrial and Logistics Services team in 2015. He began his work in the Greenville-Spartanburg market in 2000 as a leasing agent for Liberty Property Trust, an international Real Estate Investment Trust. Here he gained an extensive working knowledge of the institutional ownership side of the transaction. During his time here, he was responsible for the leasing of their 1.5 million square foot portfolio of properties. Prior to relocating to South Carolina, he spent several years working with a large national brokerage company in the Central Florida market, where he specialized in office and retail brokerage.
Prior to joining CBRE, Marcus opened the Upstate area office for the Alliance partner of C&W. Marcus graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) and a minor in Economics from Flagler College in St. Augustine. He has advised on and executed over 350 commercial real estate deals around the Southeast for a combined transaction value of over $500 million throughout his career.
