Mark Sparrow is an Executive Vice President of CBRE’s Hotels Institutional Group based in New York City. Having relocated from Toronto to lead the Tri-State area, Mark spearheads business development, recruitment, and the overall growth strategy of CBRE’s Hotels Institutional Group.
Prior to relocating to the United States, Mark established the CBRE Alternative Assets group in Canada, designed to focus on operating businesses within the commercial real estate sector across the country. In this role, Mark led a team of high-performing professionals across various verticals, including Hotels, Healthcare and Seniors Housing, Student Housing, Manufactured Housing and RV Parks, as well as Self-Storage. This initiative marked a significant milestone as it was the first practice of its kind in Canada, uniting diverse expertise from multiple sectors.
Throughout his career, Mark has played a pivotal role in the investment landscape, overseeing more than $12.5 billion in investment sales across 250+ transactions. His extensive knowledge and insights have made him a sought-after speaker at industry conferences in both Canada and the United States. Additionally, Mark has shared his expertise as a guest lecturer for various universities.
