As Vice President of GIS for Location Intelligence, Marko Haarma oversees the enterprise team which provides GIS consultation and deliverables through data, analytics, and technology for CBRE’s largest clients. He also oversees product and services development and ongoing training and development for 50+ GIS (Geographic Information Systems) professionals in the United States. Marko guides the GIS team in producing Location Intelligence deliverables via CBRE’s Dimension platform which are used to help our clients and sales professionals make smart CRE decisions.
Marko also educates end user groups about the capabilities of Location Intelligence in the Commercial Real Estate spectrum. His specialized background with analyzing and displaying large and varied datasets with a geographical perspective provide our clients a nuanced and strategic view through focused data and analytics.
As a 20-year veteran of CBRE in the GIS field, Marko has developed the Location Intelligence platform to remain leading-edge with the platform of services offered. Managing the development of recent technology-based mapping tools like Dimension have given CBRE an advantage in the industry. He has directly provided location intelligence solutions to clients such as Google, Amazon, Apple, Uniqlo, Ameritrade, and many others.
