Marty Barkan is recognized as a leading commercial real estate professional in the Los Angeles area where he has been active as a broker and consultant for over 33 years. As First Vice President at CBRE, Barkan focuses on Investment Property Sales and Leasing, with a focus in Office, Retail, & Mixed-Use properties. Barkan’s clients include major real estate investors, entrepreneurial owner-operators & corporate owner-users. Hands on experience as an investment sponsor, owner-operator, and appraiser contribute tremendously to his work as a Commercial Real Estate broker and consultant. Marty Barkan has personally closed lease and sale transactions and undertaken advisory assignments valued at approximately $2.7 Billion in the aggregate.

Prior to joining CBRE, Marty Barkan served as Senior Vice President for First Property Realty Corporation in Beverly Hills, and prior to that Barkan was a Senior Vice President for Grubb & Ellis. Marty maintains a high profile in the Greater Los Angeles market where he has been recognized with multiple achievement awards for his work as a broker. Marty began his career with James Felt Realty Services/Grubb & Ellis in New York City.

BARKAN has been a Trusted Name in Commercial Real Estate since the 1930’s and Marty benefits from a family legacy and deep real estate roots that date back 90 years. Marty, his brother and their late father have collectively logged 143 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry, and counting. Mr. Barkan has been active in professional organizations throughout his career. He remains an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, has previously held the CRE designation from The Counselors of Real Estate, the CCIM active with numerous community and charitable organizations.
