Marty Barkan is recognized as a leading commercial real estate professional in the Los Angeles area where he has been active as a broker and consultant for 30 years. With a focus on Investment Property Sales and the Leasing of Office, Retail & Mixed-Use properties, his clients include: major real estate investors, entrepreneurial owner-operators, corporate owner-users, and office tenants. Hands on experience as a property investment sponsor, owner-operator, and appraiser, all contribute tremendously to Marty’s work as a real estate broker and consultant. Barkan has personally closed lease and sale transactions and undertaken advisory and valuation assignments valued at $2.5 Billion in the aggregate. Marty Barkan maintains a high profile in the Greater Los Angeles market where he has been recognized with multiple achievement awards over the years. Prior to joining CBRE, Marty served as Senior Vice President for both First Property Realty and Grubb & Ellis. His career began in New York City with James Felt Realty / Grubb & Ellis and worked for New York based Douglas Elliman Appraisal and Consulting.

Barkan has been a Trusted Name in Commercial Real Estate since the 1930’s and Marty benefits from a family legacy and deep roots in the real estate industry. Marty, his brother and their late father have collectively logged 136 years in the business and counting.
