Matthew Solomond

Matthew B. Solomond, MAI , MRICS, CCIM is a First Vice President with over fifteen years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience. Mr. Solomond is in Valuation & Advisory Services in CBRE's Tyson’s Corner office in the Mid-Atlantic Region, with primary geographical coverage of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Mr. Solomond is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.

Mr. Solomond has experience in the appraisal of a wide variety of property types. He performs appraisals and valuations of interests in real estate with a focus on CBD and suburban office properties, industrial properties, and fractional equity interests in real estate companies and partnerships.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Solomond was a Senior Associate at CohnReznick, in the Valuation Advisory Services practice, where he specialized in appraisals and fractional interest valuations in real estate companies and partnerships for many purposes, including estate and gift tax, buy/sell, charitable contribution, financial reporting, and litigation/arbitration support. Mr. Solomond was also a Real Estate Appraiser with the Fairfax County Department of Tax Administration, where he specialized in valuing real estate for tax assessment and appeal purposes.
