Maxwell Tarter is a First Vice President in the Leasing Services Group in the Midtown office of CBRE. Since joining the firm in 2019, Max has been a part of over 215 executed lease transactions totaling over 1.5 million square feet of office space. Max primarily focuses on the asset positioning, marketing, and eventually leasing of office space for a diverse array of owners throughout New York City, with a specialization in the Plaza District.
Most notably, Max is currently a part of the team that is guiding ownership of 717 Fifth Avenue though a full-scale asset renovation, with the goal to lease ~200,000 RSF. As part of the project, he has assisted with design, implementation, marketing, financial projections, and strategy for ownership. Simultaneously, Max has assisted Brookfield Properties & WatermanClark with the repositioning and leasing of 390 Park Avenue, also known as Lever House. The building has undergone a $100 million renovation which included a new lobby, internal mechanical systems, new third floor amenity offering, and new prebuilt program, which led to a 100% lease up of the asset.
In addition to representing owners, he specializes in preparing analysis, conducting property tours, and negotiating lease transactions on behalf of occupiers, most notably assisting Antalpha with securing their first NYC Office at Vornado’s Penn 2.
Prior to joining CBRE fulltime, Maxwell attended the University of Miami Herbert Business School and graduated in the spring of 2019.
