Associated Office
Mr. Kolcum, is a vice president with CBRE Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance, the in-house mortgage banking division of CBRE. He is responsible for loan originations, equity placement and other structured financing transactions for commercial real estate. Previously, Mr. Kolcum was a key member of Newmark’s investment sales team. In that role, he played an integral part in the valuation and successful sale of approximately $5 billion in real estate transactions. His expertise spanned a wide range of property types, including Value-Add, Core, and Core-Plus office, industrial, and mixed-use properties, with a special focus on the Southern California and Seattle markets.
Mr. Kolcum began his professional career at an auditor at Grant Thornton in San Diego where he rose to the rank of audit manager within a 5-year period overseeing the audits of a range of companies in multiple industries. He then transitioned to corporate finance at Qualcomm where he worked as a pricing strategy analyst for the mobile business unit across Europe and Taiwan – ultimately helping the business unit execute upon key strategic growth initiatives before making a career change into commercial real estate and joining Newmark.
