Michael joined CBRE in 2000 and runs a multi-market Advisory and Transaction (A&T) Team, which leverages their specific expertise in performing multi-disciplinary transactions and full portfolio analysis. The A&T team serves as an advisor to corporations in making highly informed real estate decisions, reducing costs, creating value, and improving performance. His primary responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight of his clients’ account Transactions and Portfolio Optimization initiatives currently leading the Kroger, EuroGarages, UC Health and Belcan transaction accounts, representing a combined 100 million square feet and 10,000+ individual locations.
Michael started his multi-market practice as the Transactional and Portfolio Administration leader on the Fifth Third Bank Account from 2003-2016, leading the account from its early centralization initiatives, to network expansion, site disposition and back to net expansion. The scope of work included all portfolio transactions for lease-buybacks, renewals, bulk sales, third-party tenant leasing, lease buyouts, and extend and blend initiatives.
In his career, Michael and his team have delivered over $250 million in client savings and 400 transactions annually ranging from lease restructuring, surplus property dispositions, strategic acquisitions or relocations, M&A consulting, portfolio optimization, and other CAPEX and OPEX savings initiatives.
Michael began his career with CBRE as an office specialist and delivered numerous transactions representing tenants, landlords, sublease dispositions, owner/user dispositions and investment sales.
