John Landon

Mike Landon is a First Vice President within the Debt & Structured Finance group of CBRE. A 30-year mortgage banking industry veteran, Mr. Landon specializes in the placement of debt, equity and structured financing. His experience includes a variety of US markets and a broad range of product types including office, retail, multi-family, data centers and industrial.

Prior to joining CBRE in March 2011, Mr. Landon was with Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, where he worked across all product types and transaction structures. Before joining Berkadia, he was with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF), where in 1992 he opened the firm’s Dallas office and served as director until starting his own firm in 2003. In addition to traditional mortgage placements at HFF, Mr. Landon successfully completed numerous transactions demanding creative structuring skills, including:

• Providing 100% structured capital for the acquisition and repositioning  of three mid-market regional malls in Mississippi ($60,525,000)
• Arranging 100% of the capital for the acquisition and transitional use of three former Incredible Universe facilities in Denver, Houston and Tyson’s Corner ($56,150,000)
• Negotiating a loan assumption and financial evaluation for the acquisition, repositioning and sale of Prestonwood Mall in Dallas ($56,000,000)
