Professional Experience

Miro Sutton is Senior Vice President and Global Head of CBRE Energy, leading a team of industry experts who advise Fortune 500 companies on reducing energy costs, managing risk, and capitalizing on emerging market opportunities. Under his leadership, the team delivers end-to-end solutions across corporate power purchase agreements, community solar, battery storage transactions, onsite renewables, energy procurement services, data center and large load advisory, and transferable tax credit monetization.

Miro has built the team around a philosophy of balancing risk mitigation with value creation, developing innovative structures that protect clients from downside exposure while delivering compelling economics. This disciplined approach has enabled him to originate, structure, and negotiate over 10 GW of renewable energy transactions throughout his 15-year career. Before leading CBRE Energy, Miro built and ran the renewable advisory group at NRG Energy, where he established the foundation for sophisticated corporate energy transactions.

Beyond setting strategy for the team, Miro engages directly with enterprise clients on their most complex energy challenges and drives the development of new service offerings. His goal is straightforward: ensure clients maintain control of their energy strategy while turning what's traditionally been a cost center into a source of operational savings and long-term value.
