Nathan W. Alexander, MAI, SRA is the Managing Director of the Valuation & Advisory Services group in Hawaii. Nate has been involved in commercial real estate valuation since joining The Hallstrom Group in 2008. Since starting his career, Nate received a master’s degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and in 2013 worked as a real estate investment analyst in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Representative consulting and appraisal assignments include a wide range of property types such as complex hotel, retail, office, industrial, student housing, multifamily, and other income producing properties, and proposed residential subdivision and high-rise condominium development projects. Nate has been instrumental in numerous real property tax appeal and litigation assignments and has provided expert witness. In addition, he has served as an arbitrator, sole arbitrator and mediator for several rent renegotiations. Nate holds the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute and has served as the president (2023) and a board member of the Hawaii Chapter. He is an active participant in the Urban Land Institute, Hawaii Chapter.
