Nick Barwig, MAI, MRICS

Nick Barwig serves as the U.S. Executive Leader for Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS), where he oversees the national VAS business and leads the client strategy focused on strengthening key relationships and delivering strategic solutions. He is also a member of the U.S. VAS Executive Team, helping shape and execute the strategic growth plan for the national platform, which includes more than 800 professionals across 90+ offices.

Prior to his role as VAS U.S. Executive Leader, Nick served as Executive Managing Director across multiple Sunbelt markets, consistently building high‑performing teams across all property sectors while cultivating top talent and delivering best-in-class commercial real estate services. He earned the CBRE U.S. Management MVP Award for driving exceptional growth and outcomes for our clients and employees.

Nick brings a diverse background across development, capital markets, M&A consulting, and valuation and advisory. Prior to joining CBRE, he served as Director of Development at Majestic Realty Co., one of the largest privately held industrial developers in the U.S., where he spearheaded over $750 million in speculative and build-to-suit industrial projects totaling more than 4 million square feet. He also spent time with Ernst & Young (EY) in the Transaction Real Estate group, advising clients on U.S. and international M&A transactions. Throughout his career, he has advised on over $20 billion in commercial real estate, providing him with a uniquely comprehensive view of the industry.

Recognized as an emerging industry leader in Southern California, Nick is actively involved with the NAIOP SoCal Chapter and enjoys coaching youth sports in his spare time. A lifelong leader and competitor, he was an All-State quarterback before joining the Georgia Tech Football Team, where he earned ACC Athletic Academic Honors. He holds a degree from the University of Georgia, where he graduated first in his class from the Terry College of Business.
