Owen Black

Owen Black is an Executive Vice President in CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services practice in Florida. Owen has been working in real estate finance since 2010 and in CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services line of business for the past 11+ years. He began his career at CBRE as a valuation associate and has extensive experience appraising all 4 major commercial property types and many special commercial property types.

Owen is the Florida Industrial Team Leader, a specialist in aviation-related and complex land valuation assignments, and an expert witness for litigation support assignments. He currently manages a team of producers specializing in the valuation of industrial properties in Florida. He is a perennial top 10% producer in the U.S. and a top 15 overall finisher in the U.S. in 2023 and 2024. Owen’s team of industrial specialists has completed over 700 assignments in 2024. Industrial properties appraised include essentially all types of facilities, such as cement plants, cold storage facilities, industrial outdoor storage, laboratories, and truck parking & terminal properties among others.

Owen’s specialty in aviation-related properties extends across the U.S. includes air cargo facilities, hangars, maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities (MROs), and fixed base operators (FBOs) having completed over 25 leasehold appraisals of airport properties in the past 5 years.

Additionally, Owen provides appraisal, consulting, and expert witness testimony services on select litigation assignments. He also has extensive experience in the valuation of all types of commercial and residential land,. He has completed complex highest and best use analyses and feasibility studies to various clients including lenders, developers, and attorneys.
