Raquel Hwang

Raquel Hwang is an Associate in CBRE’s Atlanta Retail Services Group, where she focuses on landlord and tenant representation. Raquel served as a leasing agent for the Atlanta portfolio of Saglo Companies for two years before joining CBRE.

She exceeded investor expectations by leasing 100% of Saglo's portfolio in her first 16 months by:

• Physically canvassing businesses by visiting them in person, leaving flyers, and cold-calling to have them as potential tenants.
• Creatively finding different ways to make deals happen on properties that were very challenging to lease.

Raquel was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and was a national champion throughout her junior tennis career. She represented the Dominican Republic in various prestigious international tournaments and was part of the National Tennis Team.

After graduating from the University of North Florida with a bachelor's degree in Communications and a four-year tennis scholarship, Raquel obtained her Master's Degree in International Real Estate from FIU, where she developed a real-world knowledge in property valuation, investment analysis and corporate asset management.

Before making the transition to commercial real estate, Raquel worked as a residential real estate agent and was part of the Florida and Georgia REALTOR association.
