Associated Office
As a Director of Engineering in the Houston area, Ray is responsible for the management of building operations and MEP maintenance and repairs of 22 million square feet of high-tech, office, warehouse, lab and research and development buildings across the United States and Canada for a Global High Technology Company.
Responsibilities are inclusive of the oversight of building system efficiencies, energy management, critical environment, code compliance and platform operations development. He provides direction to a staff of over one hundred building engineers who provide services to 160 buildings across U.S. and Canada. He is also responsible for ensuring the engineering team stays current with technology through the implementation of a comprehensive engineer training program.
Ray has spent 25 years in building engineering and property management. In addition to his current responsibilities, he has experience in outpatient healthcare, hospital, historical, and Class A, commercial high-rise.
- Directed facility condition assessment initiative for 110 properties across the United States and Canada
- Represented client during collective bargaining for clients engineer staff
- Provided leadership in significant energy-reduction projects which has rewarded clients with the EPA Energy Star benchmarking and building labeling.
- Coordinated and administered the scope and execution of significant capital projects from tenant improvements to major mechanical systems replacement.
- A recognized leader with regards to building operations and speaks regularly at industry events locally and nationally.
- Due to his extensive technical experience, Ray teaches for BOMA – Seattle/King County as well as the Building Operator Certification program through the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council.
