Associated Office
Richard is the President of CBRE Upstate NY, a full services commercial real estate firm with offices in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. His career in commercial real estate spans more than 40 years having joined the firm as an industrial specialist in 1984. During this time, Richard has completed deals in excess of 10 million SF in the aggregate. He was appointed Vice President/Principal of the firm (then CBRE Albany) in 1999 and EVP in 2007. In 2011, he became president of CBRE Albany and has remained in that capacity into the recently (2023) formed CBRE Upstate NY. He is president of Upstate Commercial Property Management, LLC, a regional full service commercial property management firm.
Richard has a long history of leadership within the industry having served on the board and as president of Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Brokers, Inc (CIREB). He has served in numerous roles within the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) including Upstate NY chapter president, the national board of directors, and more recently (2022-2024) as president of the SIOR Foundation. He has also been very involved with leadership roles as board president/chair of many organizations including Regional Chamber of Commerce, Eastern NY Red Cross, Colone Youth Center, and Albany Salvation Army. Currently, Richard serves on the boards of Capitalize Albany and Teresian House as well as serving as Board Chair for Ballston Spa National Bank.
