Sam Cooke is an investment sales specialist with the Private Client Apartment Advisory Group at CBRE in San Diego. Since joining the team in 2021, Mr. Cooke has contributed to the successful closing of over $100M in transactions and has performed opinions of value and written offers on San Diego Apartment assets representative of more than a quarter billion dollars in value. Mr. Cooke specializes in the sale of apartment and residential land properties in Central San Diego, East County San Diego, and new construction properties county wide. His team is highly specialized in the disposition of multifamily housing, mixed use properties, and residential land development sites. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Cooke was an acquisitions analyst at a private Multifamily syndicator where he underwrote multifamily acquisition opportunities throughout the United States, with a primary focus on mid-size (100-300 units) assets in the Sunbelt Markets. Here he honed his underwriting skills and had the opportunity to evaluate over $1 Billion in potential acquisitions.
Mr. Cooke began his real estate career as an investment sales broker focusing on commercial assets in San Diego County with a boutique brokerage shop in Downtown San Diego, while simultaneously working as an analyst for a self-storage development firm in Carlsbad.
Prior to joining the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Cooke was an analyst at a Private Equity firm with a focus on acquisitions of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) companies where he focused on Property Technologies. Additionally, Mr. Cooke gained sales experience as a Sales Development Representative a startup located in San Diego.
