Shannon Murphy

After spending 12 years in retail development, Shannon Murphy has returned to CBRE to resume her brokerage career. During her previous 17-year tenure, Shannon worked in the Phoenix, Anaheim and Tucson offices where she received several awards, was a top producer and focused on landlord and tenant representation. She brings a demonstrated history of success in retail and shopping center leasing and sales, a collaborative and creative spirit and is excited to work alongside the other brokers to bring innovative projects to the Tucson community.Shannon has a fundamental understanding of ground-up development from entitlement through construction completion, running cost proformas and coordinating with the engineers, architects and contractors to finalize plans and obtain permits.  This expertise sets her apart from other brokers and her experience as a client has given her perspective that will inform the level of service she looks forward to providing as a trusted real estate advisor and partner.

A native Tucsonan, Shannon is passionate about seeing the region thrive and prosper and enjoys engaging in ways that help promote responsible planning and effective economic development.  She also gives back to the community by volunteering at her favorite local non-profit organizations.

Significant Assignments

Shannon’s most notable project is Houghton Town Center, a community shopping center anchored by Super Walmart and Home Depot.  When she first started on this assignment, Panda Express was under construction and Walmart was breaking ground.  Today, the project has grown to 406,000 SF and is home to 35 businesses, with Phase 2 now open and Phase 3 planning in the works!  A lot of strategic thought went into the merchandising plan so as not to create redundancies among the businesses and to provide the underserved southeast area with the variety of retailers and services they desired.
